Veneer lamps:

These lamps came about by way of a disc shaped LED bulb and a stack of discarded cherry veneer. The double-sided shade is a matched pair of pale, off color cherry veneers backed with white shoji paper. They are suspended between scorched Douglas fir uprights, all set on a spalted beech base. The bulb radiates minimal heat which keeps the lamp cool protecting the shade from warping or cracking.
